Raindrops
I waken to a world hidden behind a shimmering white veil,
glittering beads of light hang mid-air, suspended by the falling rain.
Sprays of water kiss my face, like my puppy excited
after I return home from a long day out.
There’s a quiet low rumble, like a gentle giant clearing his throat.
Petrichor hangs in the air, Green blooms vibrant on the white facade.
There’s a feeling of being called home,
each waft of cool air playfully scattering my hair
The raindrops stroke my cheek softly, familiarly.
